Beta Hunt Kambalda Gold Find 2018
Recently an astounding pocket of gold has been discovered at the Beta Hunt mine, Kambalda, underground at a depth of 500 metres. Originally developed as a nickel resource, activity has recently focused on gold production due to favorable gold prices and a downturn in the nickel market. Out of approximately 3m x 3m of ground, an impressive 8000 oz of gold was liberated in large quartz, dolerite and calcite specimens. The find has been estimated to be valued at $8,500,000 AUD to $15,000,000 AUD dependent on the premium realized for the gold contained. This find will undoubtedly add vigor to local mining and exploration operations in the immediate area as others in the know expect that there are multiple finds of similar magnitudes awaiting discovery.
